So, like the name suggests, K-sorb is hydrophobic and will resist or repel water. This also hints that this product can be used on water to remove contaminants from the surface. It will happily separate free oils from water drawing in the spill in ponds, creeks lagoons and marinas. This makes it a great environmental alternative to polypropylene products.

On land, like in water K-Sorb demonstrates its fast wicking action instantly drawing in spilt hydrocarbons. Its hollow organic fibres encapsulates the liquid before it spreads leaving the surface dry. This is a particularly important function of the absorbent with how K-Sorb performs after the spill clean-up is complete also. The fluid the absorbent takes up will not leach back into the environment, highlighting its valuable biodegradable ability. This means disposal into landfill maybe possible subject to local regulations.

For people on the go SpillSmart K-Sorb can be supplied decompressed and ready for deployment in 10L Bags.  Alternatively, 13.6kg compressed bales are really great ‘bang for buck’ for higher usage worksites and can be supplied by the pallet.
